The Parrot in Flight

The Parrot was very excited that Stephie remembered he only travels in style. So only the finest LAX luggage cart would be acceptable.

Matching luggage and coordinated outfits are always necessary when the Parrot travels. A kiss for goodluck is a sure fire way to make sure that the Parrot will make it through security without being searched or confiscated.

With several hours before take off the Parrot took his ladies out for a cocktail...in the complimentary Dynasty Lounge. At home in the luxury of the lounge the Parrot tried to freshen up in the in-house waterfall. Unbeknowst to him it was for viewing only...the lounge workers weren't exactly thrilled.

The grounds crew were e the Parrot waved good-bye to them in Taipei. It's like they never saw a Parrot on a plane before.

15 hours on a plane is a looooong time....

Stephie checked the ambien accidentally...silly Stephie.

Next stop Saigon!

Vietnam or Bust!

Well the parrot and his entourage made it's way through LAX's International terminal to the China Airlines VIP lounge for a drink and got off the ground at 1:30AM this morning for an 18 hour flight to Vietnam with a small layover in Taiwan.

The Parrot takes Manhattan

HE DID IT....CHRIS OPENED THE PROVERBIAL CAN OF WORMS.
(OR WOULD IT BE CRACKERS IN THIS CASE?)
Here's to keeping the Parrot Story goin!!
After a long hiatus in GA Larry and the Parrot trekked north to Vermont with a stop in New York to see Stephie. Little did they know what awaited them...
First Saturday was spent in the Lower East Side at Lorely drinking 3 liter beers (sorry, no photos available) followed by a Sunday morning boat tour. We took the Yankee Clipper down the Hudson and saw the Statue of Liberty and then up the East River where the parrot found a great bridge to sell you.

Larry's reward (besides the on-deck bar) for enduring the touristy boat ride was a ticket to YANKEE MANIA aka opening weeking in the Bronx. Ghads of Yankee fans gathered and Larry needed a hot dog (did I mention the severial liters of beer the night before?).

We smuggled the Parrot in with only one strange look from the man who checked my purse. I swear nothing phases New Yorkers, not even a girl with a hat the size of Teneesse and a wooden Parrot in her bag. Totally normal.

As expected early April isn't the sunniest month in the northeast, but none of us cared. It was the Parrot's (and Larry's) first trip to see the Yankees!! We sat down, ordered (more) beers, and cheered HIP HIP JORGE!!

The Parrot kept a close watch for fly-away balls, even a wooden Parrot knows my history with ill aimed baseline throws.

All in all we had a great afternoon at the ballpark. TheYankees were victorious over Tampa Bay.(Don't bother asking me the score.)

We trained it back to the city with discussions of stopping in Harlem for BBQ at Dinasours, but we knew we had to hurry back for a trip to New York isn't complete without a glass of wine with Alexi (who was sadly fresh out of rutabaga).

And a Sunday night burger at Hideaway in Tribeca with Ben and Anne,
Or a face-plant into a plate of fries.

STAY TUNED FOR MORE ADVENTURES OF THE PARROT IN VEGAS....
